Christmas in San Francisco

Purple Rice at Korean Rice...not too bad!
Oakland statute of Christ

Jelly Belly Car

One of the fun things we did during Christmas break was go to San Francisco with Caleb, Emilee, Brigham, Kaiya and Jamie. We visited one of the Palfreymans' student, Judy who is on an internship there. It was a quick trip, but we filled every minute with sightseeing, going to Oakland Temple grounds and visitor center, Jelly Belly facotry and of course, ice cream at Girradelhi Square! We even had dinner at a Korean restaurant. Oakland Temple Visitor Center and Temple Grounds....
very beautiful ..really the highlight!
Caleb was really happier than he looks!

Brigham had climbed enough... so grandpa carried him
the rest of the way to the crookest street in SF

Visiting The Becketts

On January 6th, Don and I met in St. Louis and visited the Becketts. We had a great time. We drove to their house in a snow storm, but arrived at their beautiful, warm house safely. We did lots of fun things like playing with Hanna's toys, visiting Caterpillar and the Lincoln Museum, walking downtown and shopping. It was hard to leave after just a few days.

After the Becketts picked us up we went to a yummy Italian restaurant and then wouldn't you know it right across the street was a Crate and Barrel so the girls went looking while the guys paid for dinner...sounded fair to me!

Lots of snow...felt just like home. Reno has had a ton of snow this year!

Going for a walk...

Wizard anyone?

Lincoln Museum was a real treat. We spent a good part of Saturday there. Hanna loved the play room. The play food felt real! We played with Lincoln logs, dressed up and watched lots of movies and saw lots of history. Very good and very interesting.

Posing with the Lincolns.

Santa brought a present or two...

What have we here??
"Hurry, DAD!", I'm ready to play.

Some Christmas Cheer! The good kind.

Abigail was all eyes. She loved the paper and noise.
Kaiya was sick, but still wanted to be there and opening up her presents.

Aimee sent this to Dad...he of course, wanted to know where the
rest of the pieces were. Chess, anyone?

Christmas Eve

Getting ready for Christmas is most of the fun... we love dressing up for the navitity and it was fun to have a baby for baby Jesus. Jamie was an angel, Brigham played several roles..Joseph, Wiseman, and Shpeherd!
One more day of shopping! We couldn't resist the sleigh for a Christmas picture!

Carolers came ..trumpets and all!

Christmas Time 2009

Don and Janie in front of Assembly Hall. We listened to the Delta High School Choir. Beautiful music.

It was very cold, but we were bundled up and having fun!

Wow!!

We love Christmas round our house...we love the decorations, the cookies, the music, the navitities, the laughter in the air, we even love SANTA!!

Happy Birthday to Me!!

Friday, October 30, 2009

October 10th...another Birthday for me! Each one gets better, maybe that is because I appreciate life a little bit more each year. I had a great birthday. I saw or heard from all of my children and grandchildren. Those in Reno came over that evening for a barbeque and fun.

October is almost over! Its hard to believe that late summer days are over and cooler nights are here to stay for a while. The trees have turned red, orange and golden.... pumpkins are everywhere. We are ready for some spooky goblins to come tomorrow.
